Description :
Un grand arbre qui s'étend. Il atteint 10-20 m de haut. Les petites branches sont velues et pendent souvent vers le bas. Il perd souvent de nombreuses feuilles au cours de l'année. L'écorce est rugueuse et gris foncé. Il a une apparence quadrillée avec des fissures sur toute sa longueur. Les feuilles sont disposées en spirales et souvent près des extrémités de petites branches. Ils sont ovales ou presque ronds. Ils mesurent 7 à 19 cm de long sur 3 à 13 cm de large. Ils sont un peu coriaces et gris-vert. Ils sont plus pâles et plus poilus en dessous. La pointe est arrondie. Le pédoncule est velu et mesure 1,5 à 7 cm de long. Les fleurs sont crème et ont une forte odeur. Ils sont petits et se présentent sur des épis poilus denses d'environ 5 à 12 cm de long. Ceux-ci sont produits à l'aisselle des feuilles près des extrémités des petites branches. Le fruit est rond ou ovale et mesure 2 à 4 cm de long sur 0,7 à 1,5 cm de large.
