Les feuilles sont presque ovales et mesurent 2 à 4 cm de long. Ils sont opposés. Il y a des dents vers la pointe. Les tiges mesurent 3 à 12 mm de long. Les fleurs sont regroupées en grappes au sommet des tiges. Ils sont violet clair. Ils sont en pointes. Le fruit contient 4 petites nucules.
