Une fougère dressée avec de courts rhizomes souterrains rampants. La plante mesure jusqu'à 60 cm de haut. Ils portent des frondes solitaires ou parfois plusieurs. La tige de la fronde des feuilles mesure jusqu'à 25-35 cm de long et 12-20 cm de large. À la pointe, il a 3 segments de la fronde stérile.
