    Une fougère arborescente. Il a un tronc dressé. Il peut mesurer 5 m ou plus. Les frondes mesurent 2 à 3 m de long et sont divisées 2 ou 3 fois. Les folioles du milieu mesurent 45 cm de long sur 18 cm de large et ont des folioles plus petites de 14 cm de long sur 2 cm de large. La tige est longue, sombre et rugueuse. Il y a des écailles brillantes qui sont brun foncé avec un bord plus clair mais celles-ci tombent. Les corps des spores sont ronds et n'ont pas de revêtement^{{{{0(+x) (traduction automatique)}.
