Description :
Une grande fougère qui pousse attachée à d'autres plantes. Il grimpe aux arbres. Il peut atteindre 1 m de haut. Il forme de grosses touffes étalées. Le porte-greffe est épais et charnu. Il existe deux sortes de frondes. L'un forme le "nid" et ceux-ci n'ont pas de tige et les autres qui ressemblent plutôt à des feuilles et ont une tige. Les seconds ont des tiges de 30 cm de long. La fronde mesure un m de long sur 40 cm de large. Il possède des lobes profonds. Le premier type de frondes a des lobes et des dents sur le pourtour. Celles-ci brunissent avec l'âge mais ne tombent pas de la fougère. Les jeunes frondes de cette fougère ont une forme différente des frondes matures des fougères établies.
