Description :
Une herbe dressée. Il continue de croître d'année en année. Il pousse de 45 à 100 cm de haut. Les feuilles sont tournées dans un sens. Ce sont à la base et le long de la tige. La tige des feuilles est pourpre noirâtre. Il y a un gonflement à la base de la feuille de 3 cm de long. Le limbe des feuilles est ovale et sans poils. Il mesure 35 à 44 cm de long et 15 à 22 cm de large. La pointe est arrondie mais avec une pointe. La surface supérieure est vert foncé et elle est rouge-brun dessous.
