Un arbre droit de hauteur moyenne. Il atteint 5 à 12 m de haut. Il a généralement des racines d'appui couvertes de pores respiratoires. Les feuilles sont vert foncé et non enroulées sur le bord. Les fleurs sont en paires ou en tiges courtes. Ils sont de couleur crème et mesurent 1,5 cm de long. Les fleurs apparaissent normalement en 2 ensemble sous les feuilles les plus anciennes.
